Lips are one of the main focal points of your face and don’t be afraid to use bold colour to make them look wow!

Absolutely anybody can do bright lips and red lips is the ultimate classic. Use a lip liner (K lip pencils- various) to line your lips first. If you are unsure about colour or a little nervous to start off with then use a brown lip liner and blend the red lipstick (K intense lipstick in cardinal) into it. This will tone down any red lipstick. Alternatively if you just want to go for it, then use a red lip liner to get the perfect outline. Once your lip liner is on, fill in the lips with your lipstick and add a little gloss for a beautiful sheen!

If your not brave enough to waer red lips then try something from this seasons top lips colours; pinks and corals. These colours can be teamed with almost any other make up as they are so versatile! (Try K intense lipstick in rose/plum/violet)

Perfect Brows

There are so many trends to follow this season we cant all keep up! Statement brows are certainly making a statement but people are a little apprehensive to go all out with heavy brows. If thats you, then perfecting your brows to suit your face shape will really make the difference and maybe you can work your way up something a little extra!

Following the guide on Beverley's eye(pictured left) you will achieve the perfect brow for you, use anything as your guide a pencil works great!

Brow begin- start at the point beside your nostril and follow the inside of your eye. if it is too short-fill in with an eyebrow pencil.

Brow arch- Again from the point beside your nostril, follow the line of your pupil when looking straight forward!

Brow end- From the point at the side of your nostril again, follow the outer corner of your eye to the brow and thats where it should end.

There is nothing worse than over plucking and you see it everywhere! Thin lines above the eyes are NOT GOOD!!Try this yourself and notice the difference...get WOW brows.

Brush Me beautiful
Why use a foundation brush? Well... It blends your product oin beautifully whether it's liquid, cream or solid, you'l use less of it in the process and of course, good tools are truely useful.
Theres a reason why all the top make up artists carry around dozens of make-up brushes in their belts.
The flat sided K by Beverley Knight foundation brush is best for building up your base for a soft but full coverage look and so works great with both of our foundations for buildable coverage.

The brush V sponge debate

This is one that many women query. Is a brush better than a sponge? Ok a sponge may be handy in getting into those awkward corners around the eye and nose but it also soaks up your product into oblivion! What a waste! Whereas a foundation brush evenly distributes to a beautiful finish and for those awkward bits use the tapered edge or your finger!

How to use the K foundation brush

Pour a small amount of K full coverage/ light coverage oil free foundation onto the back of your hand and pick up some foundation with the brush

Use broad outward strokes to sweep and blend the make-up onto your nose, forehead, cheeks and chin starting in the centre of your face (DON'T forget to blend well around your hairline and jaw.)

Use the tapered edges of the brush to blend the make-up into those hard-to-reach area, like the corners of the nose, hairline and around the eyes and mouth.

Remenber ladies a foundation brush will last a lifetime if you take care of it well! Keep it clean after each use and deep clean at least once or twice a week; once you have washed it always dry it with the hair facing downwards so that water doesn't seep into the base.
***Top tip***when you apply your foundation with a foundation brush DON'T paint it on using the flat side of the brush instead use the tip to work the foundation into your skin to give you a natural finish.
